Airport fire and rescue workers have threatened to walk off the job during the Christmas-New Year break amid an ongoing employment dispute.
They are calling for a 15 per cent pay rise over three years, and improved safety conditions.
So far, the dispute encompasses workers at Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane airports, but there are fears it could spread further.

Travellers have been confronted with massive queues, baggage loss issues and abrupt cancellations, particularly during peak holiday periods such as Easter and school breaks.

Meanwhile international travel prices have soared compared to pre-pandemic levels.
The average price for a return economy seat has jumped by 33 per cent to $1817 compared to $1362 in 2019.
The cheapest day to fly is Australia Day, when there are flights around $1000, while the most expensive day is December 20, when costs surge over $2000.
The most searched return destinations include Melbourne to New Delhi, Sydney to Denpasar, Melbourne to Denpasar, Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City, and Sydney to Manila, according to data provided by KAYAK.
