The 46-year-old woman is accused of assaulting seven elderly residents at the Macarthur region aged care home where she worked.
As part of an investigation, detectives seized her phone, which allegedly contained videos taken at the facility depicting sexual abuse, which had also been sent to her partner, a 54-year-old man.
They are both facing charges linked to the alleged discovery during the investigation of bestiality material unrelated to the aged care home.
The investigation began in March but charges were only laid this week.
Police allege the woman committed and recorded the sexual offences against five men and two women at the facility between August 4 and August 27 last year.
She was charged yesterday morning at Silverwater Correctional Complex and refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Monday.
She faces four counts of aggravated sexual assault, 11 counts of aggravated sexual touching, two counts of sexual touching, 13 counts of recording an intimate image without consent, nine counts of distributing an intimate image without consent and four counts of possessing bestiality material.
Police including the riot squad arrived at a home in Heckenberg about 6.10am on Wednesday and arrested the man.
He was charged with four counts of possessing bestiality material and four counts of disseminating bestiality material.
The 54-year-old appeared in Liverpool Local Court yesterday where he was granted conditional bail. He will reappear in court in June.
All families of the victims identified by police have been spoken to.
