The portrait from artist Vincent Fantauzzo was unveiled this morning, as Daniher’s friends and family begin their latest fundraising push ahead of the traditional King’s Birthday match at the MCG.
The campaign has so far raised almost $70 million to fight MND since it was launched nine years ago.
Daniher was first diagnosed with MND in 2013, and was given only two years to live.
His daughter Bec has been by her dad’s side since his diagnosis.
“We know life expectancy is 27 months. We know for every Neale Daniher, there are thousands who don’t see the other side of that number,” she said.

“We don’t want families to go through what we’re going through. We will keep fighting, we will pull on the beanie year after year until a cure is found.
“MND is relentless but so are we.”
The traditional long weekend clash between Melbourne and Collingwood at the MCG will be held on June 12.
The popular Big Freeze Beanies have become the biggest public symbol of the campaign and are now on sale at Coles, Bunnings and online.
