A man has been charged with murder over the death of a 71-year-old man found stabbed in Adelaide.

The 45-year-old accused, of no fixed address, knew the victim, police said.

Emergency services were called to the house in Braes Close in Reynella East in the city’s south at 9.40pm on Christmas Day.

They found the body in the house, which is part of an aged care facility.

When police arrived, they located the body of a 71-year-old man in the house.

The younger man was refused bail and will appear in Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
