Adam Levine has asked for his day in court!
Nearly six months after he was accused of cheating on his then-pregnant wife, Behati Prinsloo, with a social media model, Levine has sued a classic car dealer for reportedly selling him a fake version of a 1971 Maserati. The vintage vehicle, which is rare to find, is said to be worth a whopping $1 million.
Adam Levine Has Sued A Car Dealer After Unknowingly Purchasing A Fake Vintage Vehicle
Levine’s problems began in late 2020 after he traded two Ferraris to Rick Cole — the classic car dealer — for what he assumed to be one of the only 1971 Maserati Ghibli 4.9 Liter Spyders ever produced. The “Payphone” hitmaker traded a 1968 Ferrari and a 1972 Ferrari with $100,000 in cash to the car dealer, bringing his offer up to $950,000.

Unfortunately, it turned out that only 25 of the Maserati Ghibli 4.9 Liter Spyders were ever made, making the version that Cole sold the singer a fake. To that end, a lawsuit was filed by the Adam Levine Living Trust, alleging that Cole or his staff had falsified the documents concerning the vintage car, including faking any details that Levine could have used to identify it.
It was not until the “Girls Like You” singer attempted to sell the supposed limited-edition automobile to another car dealer, Autosport Designs, that he made a shocking discovery. As luck would have it, the car dealer had previously sold a vehicle with the same vehicle identification number (VIN) as the one the 43-year-old got from Cole.
The British luxury car collector Clive Joy bought the Maserati with that VIN several years ago. It also does not help that Levine discovered later that the Maserati he was sold was pulled out from an auction five years ago over concerns that it may not be genuine, per Daily Mail.
Additionally, the Grammy Awards winner’s attorneys claim that he had trusted the car dealer’s words that the Maserati was authentic since he is “not in the classic car business at all.” “Subsequent inspection and investigation revealed that the vehicle is not authentic. Cole egregiously never disclosed any of this … withholding this information in order to make substantial monies on the sale,” the lawsuit declared.
The lawsuit has accused Cole of negligent misrepresentation, fraudulent concealment, intentional misrepresentation, and breach of contract. Meanwhile, on his website, Cole points out his skills as an “internationally recognized sales agent, auctioneer, and appraiser of investment grade automobiles.”

There is also a picture of the dealer, who claims to have over five decades of experience with the OFTA Television Award winner, alongside a picture of a Ferrari 275, on the site. Levine has asked the court to undo his deal with Cole or have the dealer compensate him to correct the situation.
The BMI Pop Awards Winner’s Cheating Scandal Resurfaced On A Podcast

The Blast reported earlier this month that Levine’s cheating scandal resurfaced during an episode of Alexandra Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast. In a trailer released, Cooper is heard saying to her guest, Adam Devine:
“I was a huge Maroon 5 fan and I’m glad that you agreed to sit down with me today and discuss the scandal surrounding the infidelity in your marriage. How many times did you cheat with women that you met on Instagram?”
The video, which closed off with a black screen, also included Levine singing the lyrics to 2002 hit single “She Will Be Loved.” In case you missed it, several people had mistaken Devine for Levine at the pinnacle of the drama.
The “Pitch Perfect” actor had even stirred up controversy when he took to Instagram to post a picture of himself and his beloved wife, Chloe Bridges, with the caption:
“Just want to post this and say that my wife @chloebridges and I are doing great and going strong. I am not Adam Levine. He’s a different guy and a worse singer. We are however naming our future baby Sumner.”
His last statement was about the social media model Sumner Stroh, who initially accused Levine of cheating on his wife with her in a viral TikTok video. The clip also featured screenshots showing how the singer planned to name his then-unborn baby after her.
The father-of-three has since denied any assertions that he stepped out on his wife during their ten-year marriage.
