50-Year-Old With a Ph.D. Competes As Teen Girl

No matter how absurd you think a Babylon Bee story seems, reality either quickly catches up or exceeds it in absurdity.

That’s what I thought when I read about this story: a 50-year-old psychology professor, who heads the “Cognitive Flexibility Lab” at York University, is a so-called trans-girl who likes to compete against and change into bathing suits with young teen girls.

And nobody seems to blink an eye. At least not in public, where they might get canceled.

Nicholas Cepeda, a.k.a., “Melody Wiseheart,” apparently enjoys competing against teen girls while “she” is not lecturing on “cognitive flexibility” to rapt audiences about how the brain works. Some of the parents aren’t so happy about this, but nobody in a position of power has the balls to say no to this person born with balls.

According to the officials in charge of the competition, they are simply following the rules as set out. I can’t speak to the specific rules for these competitions, but the rules as set by World Aquatics actually deny self-identified women who have gone through puberty as a male the right to compete.

It’s bizarre on so many levels. First, that adults entrusted to care for the well-being of young women are willing to allow a 50-year-old man to compete against teen girls; second, that they let him change with and in front of these girls; and third that such a deranged person is in charge of anything having to do with education.

The Cognitive Flexibility Lab’s job is to help teachers develop teaching strategies.

Perhaps the most ironic part of the story is that the police were called while Rebel News was covering the news- on Rebel News’s reporter. The pervert who was ogling little girls needed to be defended.

I applaud Rebel News for actually doing some journalism about this. Still, I am blown away that the only journalistic outlet that will even touch this with a 10-foot pole is an alternative media outlet. It’s hard to argue that the public wouldn’t be interested that this is happening.

Perhaps the CBC will cover this at some point, explaining how stunning and brave it is for this 50-year-old man to compete against teen girls. Breaking the glass ceiling or some similar angle.

There is a likely apocryphal story that Caligula made his horse a Roman senator and told about him to point out just how insane he was. Looking back, Caligula’s insanity looks pretty tame compared to what is routinely happening in the modern West.
