33-year-old man fatally shot in head in Brooklyn — half-mile from murder of bodega worker

A 33-year-old man was shot dead on a Brooklyn street Wednesday night, officials said —  only two days after a beloved bodega worker was killed half a mile away.

The victim was blasted in the head outside the Ebbets Field Apartments on McKeever Place near Sullivan Place shortly before 6 p.m. in Crown Heights, according to the NYPD.

The man was rushed by EMS to Kings County Hospital but he could not be saved.

It’s unclear what led to the bloodshed, cops said.

Police were looking for two men who fled the bullet-riddled scene on foot and headed northbound on Franklin Avenue.

The latest Crown Heights violence came days after bodega clerk Nazim Berry, 37, was shot in the back of the head after he refused to give a free cigarillo to his alleged killer.

Berry’s mom, Danette Hollie, told reporters a confrontation erupted after the suspect asked her son for a $2 Black and Mild cigar without paying.

When he said no, Hollie said the accused gunman started arguing with Berry and returned to the store later.

“They said that they tussled … and the guy pointed the gun right to the side of his head, the back of his head, he shot him,” Hollie said.

Nearby residents told The Post Tuesday they were worried about escalating violence in the area.

“It’s getting so that you can’t just live a normal life anymore,” a local said.
