CHICAGO (WLS) — Three people were seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Chicago’s South Side Wednesday afternoon.

Chicago police said a Chevy Trailblazer was driving south on Carpenter when it struck a Chevy Equinox head on at 86th Street, causing the Equinox to roll over into a yard.

A 21-year-old man and two 17-year-old boys were taken to University of Chicago and Christ hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, police said, though they did not release further details about their condition.

The people driving the Trailblazer fled the scene, Chicago police said.

No one is currently in custody. An investigation is ongoing.
