Thieves rob 3 University of Chicago students at gunpoint, school says

CHICAGO (WLS) — Three people were injured, two seriously, in a shooting on Chicago’s South Side on Saturday night, police said.

Police said officers responded to a shooting in the South Chicago neighborhood’s 8400-block of South Muskegon Avenue around 9:20 p.m.

Responded officers found three gunshot victims.

A 23-year-old woman, shot in the stomach and arm, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.

A 38-year-old man, shot in the back, was taken to the same hospital in serious condition.

A 23-year-old man, shot in the hand, is listed in good condition at Trinity Hospital.

Police believe the shooter may have been traveling in a white SUV.

There is no one in custody, and Area Two detectives are investigating.

Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
