Ray Hadley has bristled at the suggestion he’s gone to work with Covid under cheeky questioning from Ben Fordham, saying he wouldn’t ‘poison’ his co-workers.

In a live exchange on 2GB on Tuesday morning between the 2GB hosts, Hadley was highly defensive about the suggestion he might have brought Covid into the studio.

Fordham probed why Hadley, who has continued to sound the alarm about Covid even with restrictions long gone, was sounding and looking unwell.

‘I’ve gotta be careful here ’cause I don’t want to get you offside,’ said Fordham.

‘But I can now see some small droplets of perspiration on your [head]. I think you’re Covid positive. It’s finally got you.’

‘Nah, don’t bung that on,’ Hadley shot back.

‘[Covid] has finally got you,’ Fordham said.

‘Well look, truth be known I’ve done a test this morning and fortunately for you, I’m negative,’ Hadley said.

‘I don’t disclose my normal medical records to you or anyone else but I’ve done a test this morning just to err on the side of caution, so I don’t poison my fellow staff members, bar you, and I’m negative.’

Awkwardly, Hadley also openly coughed without covering his mouth during the exchange as if to make a point.

In January 2022, the veteran radio host also claimed Mr Perrottet had labelled him a ‘bedwetter’.

Hadley said that people had told him Mr Perrottet had called ‘people like me’ bedwetters after a few drinks at a pre-Christmas function.

Appearing on Hadley’s 2GB morning program, Mr Perrottet denied he was referring to people like Hadley when he said he would not ‘give in to the bedwetters’ by re-introducing Covid restrictions.
