A 16th century castle where a jealous millionaire murdered his young lover will be repaired and could have 12 homes built on the grounds.
Peter Morgan, 60, strangled former escort Georgina Symonds, 25, at the Tudor castle over fears she was planning to blackmail him for his £20million fortune.
The property developer – who paid £1.7million for Pencoed Castle – was jailed for a minimum of 25 years in 2016 for killing Georgina in the castle grounds.
He launched the horrific attack in 2016 after finding out escort Georgina was scheming to threaten him with intimate photographs and videos of himself.
The mother-of-one had been living at a bungalow in the grounds of her ‘sugar daddy’s’ castle – which went under the hammer with Morgan behind bars.

Developers Corinthian Homes splashed out £1.1million at auction in September 2020 for the property in Llanmartin near Newport, Gwent, despite its guide price of £950,000 and chilling past.
There is currently planning permission to restore the castle, convert outbuildings to offices, and develop 12 new houses.
An application has now been made to Newport City Council to restore historic features including stone stairs, stonework, windows and doorways.
The owners say they are ‘keen to progress the restoration of the listed buildings and the development of the new houses.’
The application added there is permanent long-term roost provision in the plans for bat roost locations in the castle.
A spokesman for Welsh heritage body Cadw said they had ‘significant concerns about the impact’ of the work on the site’s listed status.
A Newport City Council conservation officer said they were supportive ‘in principle’ but a final decision will be made at a later date.
Morgan was jailed at Newport Crown Court for the 2016 murder after he secretly bugged the castle bungalow to spy on Georgina. Their doomed affair featured in an episode of the Netflix series My Lover My Killer.

He overheard how she planned to ‘do him over’ with a series of sex pictures at his home.
The court heard Morgan was worth at least £20million and was ‘obsessed’ with Georgina – calling himself her ‘sugar daddy.’
Two days after hearing her plot he confronted her and wrapped bailing twine around her neck to strangle her.
He then took Georgina in the boot of his £52,000 Porsche Cayenne to an outhouse at his Beech Hill Farm, Usk.
When Georgina failed to pick her five-year-old daughter from school, her worried family and friends alerted police, who tracked her smartphone to Morgan’s farm.
He admitted killing her and told officers: ‘I can’t take it. I need to tell you I strangled her this morning. You’ll need these keys – she’s locked in the outhouse.’
