The shattered brother of Keana Mokbel has shared his pain over the tragic loss of his little sister.
Anthony Mokbel – the nephew of former gang boss Tony Mokbel and son of Horty Mokbel – shared a series of touching images of Keana and him growing up in Melbourne.
Keana Mokbel, 25, died when her vehicle ploughed into a tree on Southern Road in Heidelberg West at about 8.50pm last Sunday.

Keana’s uncle Tony is serving a 30-year jail term for drug trafficking.
Hitting social media on Anzac Day – hours after his sister was farewelled at the Our Lady Of Lebanon Church in Thornbury – Mokbel Jnr paid tribute to Keana in a public post.
‘How I wake up and pray this is not true, yet I’m faced with the reality of knowing it is and not wanting to believe it,’ he wrote.
‘This tragedy has darkened all of our hearts by a black cloud that will shadow over our heads and will never ever leave us.’
On Tuesday, mourners spilled out of the church – north east of Melbourne – in their hundreds to pay their last respects to Keana, who entered the church to the sound of beating drums and church bells.
Mokbel Jnr joined his father Horty among the pallbearers, carrying her casket up a large ramp to her service.
Keana was sent-off in a traditional ceremony, which saw her casket remain open throughout the duration of the service.
The priest who conducted the mass told mourners the church had been decorated as if they were celebrating Keana’s wedding rather than her funeral.
‘How I would climb mountains, take on armies all around the world and shed blood to bring you back, but the harsh reality is I can’t,’ Mokbel Jnr wrote.
‘You had the brightest smile, the loudest laugh and you would always shine more than anyone in the room. The love you had for your family was unconditional. Inseparable, incredible and undeniable.’

Mokbel Jnr’s tragic post was accompanied by several photos of the pair in happier times.
One photo, posted by his sister before her death, showed a stoney-faced Mokbel Jnr holding her when she was just a baby.
‘A1 bodyguard and protector since the day I was born,’ she wrote. ‘If u know my brother, u know (& are scared of him n feel sorry for me lol). Also yes you’ll still cop this death stare if u dare just look at me, my sister or our mum.’
Another photo showed the pair as children embracing and then as adults together with their surviving younger sister.
Mokbel Jnr shared emotional memories of growing up with his sister and how they would argue about who got to sleep over at their grandparents’ house.
‘You would always get your way because you would throw a tantrum if you didn’t get to,’ he wrote.

Mokbel Jnr revealed Keana had modelled herself on her glamorous mum, who carried a shock of bright red hair.
‘We all know you idolised her,’ he wrote. ‘The bond you shared with our baby sister Tatiana – can never be replaced.’
Tatiana bravely read a prayer during her sister’s funeral, fighting through tears to finish it.
Mokbel Jnr said Keana had made an impact on everyone she met through her short life.
‘From your school days through to your days working at Degani’s you impacted more lives than you know and you have definitely left your mark on this world,’ he wrote.
The circumstances around Keana’s death remain a mystery to the public, with Victoria Police stating a report would be prepared for the Coroner.
Residents near Southern Rd in Heidelberg West reportedly heard a ‘bang’ and tried to save Keana, but she died at the scene.
‘I was in my house and I heard this bang so I came running out and then looked up the road and realised there was all this smoke,’ resident Karen told Channel 7.
‘When I got up further, I realised the car had gone into the tree.’
