Two children ages three and 11 found dead alongside their mother and father were stabbed to death, police officers said today, in what was a suspected murder-suicide.
The bodies of Monika Wlodarczyk, 35, and her husband Michal Wlodarczyk were found alongside their daughter Maja Wlodarczyk, 11, and son Dawid Wlodarczyk, three, after police forced their way into their family home in Hounslow, west London, on Friday.
Post-mortems on the two children at Great Ormond Street Hospital yesterday revealed their causes of death. Maja was stabbed directly in the heart while Dawid suffered ‘multiple stab injuries’, Metropolitan Police said today.
Mrs Wlodarczyk’s at Fulham Mortuary found the cause of her death was from ‘multiple sharp force injuries’. Officers gave no further information into her husband’s death other than that he suffered from a sharp force injury to the neck.
Each death is being treated as part of an ongoing murder probe but no one is currently being sought over the deaths, the force said today.

The alarm had been raised by little Maja’s school after her friends had not heard from her for four days and family members had not replied to any messages.
Police were forced to kick down the door to the home in Staines Road, Bedfont, where they discovered the four bodies inside. The exact date of the deaths is not yet known.
An inquest opening heard how Maja’s school called the police on Friday after not attending classes since Monday.
Distraught friends and neighbours of the victims described the ‘lovely’ family, who were originally from Poland.

Just days before they died the mother had been playing ‘very happily’ together with her two children, neighbours revealed.
Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, who is leading the investigation, said: ‘Specialist detectives continue to investigate the circumstances which led to this tragic incident.

A card left outside the family home is believed to be from Maja’s school teacher, who is said to have called police after she had been absent from class since Tuesday

‘We are continuing to support family members at this unimaginably difficult time, and we thank the local community for their understanding in recent days whilst we conducted enquiries at the scene.
‘The situation remains that we are not currently seeking anybody else in connection with the incident.’
At West London Coroner’s Court on Tuesday, inquests into the deaths were opened and adjourned with full hearing due to be held at a later date.
The Met’s enquires will continue to be led by homicide detectives in the Specialist Crime Command group.
