An eight-month old puppy survived being thrown from a moving vehicle during a two-hour 100mph police chase in Los Angeles, according to police.
Southeast officers on Friday witnessed the dog bundled into a designer bag and tossed from a car window as they chased down a wanted suspect in connection to an attempted murder and carjacking that took place on 26 March.
The winding pursuit traveled through multiple cities within the county, coming to a stop in Carson, at Vermont Avenue and Belson Street. LAPD arrested three in connection to the pursuit.
The LAPD said in a statement: ‘Miraculously the dog emerged unharmed and was rescued by responding LAPD officers.
‘The puppy is now in the care of South L.A. Animal Services, where it is presently being held pending an investigation into the abandonment concern that was noted during the pursuit.’

The LAPD arrested three in connection to this pursuit.
Gustavo Alvarez, 27, from Los Angeles was arrested for an attempted murder/carjacking that took place on 26 March 2023, in the area of 101st Street & San Pedro Street.
He was not granted bail.
Lynette Moreno, also 27, was arrested setting up the 2nd getaway vehicle and booked for ‘Accessory/Evading’.
Bail has been set at $67,500.00.
Michelle Zamudio, 25, was the driver of the 2nd getaway vehicle and was booked ‘evading’.
Bail has been set at $75,000.00.

ABC7 shared footage of the full chase, which lasted nearly two hours.
The chase started in the Chevrolet pickup truck, shown above, a little after noon on Friday.
Police said they believed an attempted murder suspect was in the back seat.
When the truck became too damaged to go on, several suspects got out on Century Boulevard and fled on foot to a second car.
Police said the attempted murder suspect knew the driver of the Mazda SUV waiting nearby. Two were arrested during the switch.
After nearly another hour in pursuit, the second car became damaged.
Again the suspects tried to flee on foot, when police caught them.

No serious injuries were reported as a result of the chase.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
