A serving of hot chips smothered with melted gummy bears and sprinkles has horrified punters at Sydney‘s Royal Easter Show.
The bizarre ‘Gummy Bear Loaded Fries’ received a mixed response online with most agreeing the snack was ‘downright disgusting’.
However, one man who tried the wacky chips told Daily Mail Australia he enjoyed contrasting textures and ‘finished the whole thing’.
Bruno Bouchet, who manages KIIS 106.5 radio host Kyle Sandilands, encouraged punters attending the Easter Show this month to give it a go.

‘I tried it – I finished the whole thing. It’s definitely worth a try because there are a lot of different textures and tastes coming together in one mouthful,’ he said.
‘The sweetness and sloppiness of the melted gummies work well with the saltiness and greasiness of the chips.
‘The hundreds and thousands sprinkled on top of it all provides a bit of crunchiness which adds a heartier texture to the dish. I think it’s 100 per cent worth trying.’
However, others weren’t so convinced.
‘And we make fun of Americans for their food,’ one wrote.
‘Ok, I love novelty food as much as the next girl. But nah, that’s gross,’ a second said.

‘That, is a bloody disgrace and an absolute outrage,’ a third agreed.

‘I can understand, and even appreciate, the sweet/savoury combo, but this is so gross,’ a fourth commented.
The Easter Show will begin on Thursday and run for 11 days from April 6 to April 23.
Other bizarre culinary treats on offer at the show include colourful Dagwood dogs and and the Elvis burger – which consists of slab of fried chicken between two Krispy Kreme donuts.
Ride operators at the iconic show will be banned from playing rap music as strict new rules come into force at the annual event.

Dangerous teenagers and young adults linked to postcode wars will be stopped at the front gates while guests showing anti-social behaviour will be escorted out.
The carnival will close at 9.30pm every night, more police will patrol the grounds, while lighting will be increased.
NSW Police are already prepared to stop a list of dangerous teenagers and individuals from setting foot in the show.
They have issued Public Safety Orders which allow them to target individuals and ban them from attending a specific event.
The blacklisted individuals are linked to Sydney’s postcode wars, a form of violent rivalry between members of different suburbs across the city.
