An SUV crashed through the front of restaurant in Upper Manhattan Monday night, leaving 22 injured and cops searching for a driver who allegedly caused the smash.
The incident occurred at about 9pm Monday saw Inwood Bar & Grill’s storefront shattered, with debris sent spraying across the sidewalk and into the restaurant at unsuspecting diners, including three young girls aged 10, 7, and 1 – the eldest of whom may have suffered a broken leg.
Multiple witnesses saw the crash – which cops said occurred when a white Audi sedan struck the black Toyota RAV4 – causing the SUV to jump the curb and careen into the store near West 204th Street.
Cops said that the Audi then fled the scene, leaving several patrons writhing on the ground in pain. The driver, still at-large, is being sought by police.
