A Russian propagandist on state TV Monday said that Moscow had to give President Joe Biden assurances that they would not attack during his surprise visit to Ukraine

Russian propagandists said President Joe Biden was only allowed to visit Ukraine without threat from Moscow because in their mind, ‘destroying’ him would lead to a worse situation if Vice President Kamala Harris took power.

Television personalities for Russian State TV warned that Harris is more dangerous than Biden because ‘she has no opinion’ and would listen to advice from Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

Pundits for Putin appeared to get into a heated discussion on state media when a woman appearing to be moderating the discussion said Russia should not have allowed Biden to visit without threat of retaliation.

It comes after Biden made an unannounced stop in the war-torn eastern European country Monday morning before flying to Poland to mark the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion into Ukraine.

The White House revealed it warned the Kremlin before Biden made his surprise trip to Kyiv Monday.

Sullivan said Russia was given a heads up for ‘deconfliction purposes’ before Biden headed into an active war zone where the U.S. has no military presence and only some embassy staff.

‘So, destroying Biden is too much, but threatening Putin is OK? Blowing up the Nord Stream 2 OK, too?’ the woman asked, referencing Russian disinformation claiming that the United States order the explosion of the natural gas pipeline.

‘You know, I’m not talking about aggression on our part, I’m talking about logic,’ a man appearing to be a panel member said when describing why it was a smart move for Putin not to launch an attack while Biden was visiting.

‘If we destroy Biden, who will replace him? Kamala Harris? Biden, in spite of his dementia, at least has his senses and some restraint, whereas she has no restraints at all,’ he continued. ‘What Blinken and Sullivan tell her, that’s what she’ll do. She has absolutely no opinion of her own.’

‘Does Biden have one?’ the woman asked.

‘Biden has his opinion after all,’ he replied.

Russian officials and other media personalities in the country downplayed the significance of Biden’s five-hour visit to Kyiv where he spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, honored fallen soldiers and announced an additional half-billion dollars in U.S. assistance.

The U.S. has already pumped through more than $50 billion to aide in the war with Ukraine.

The latest sum includes shells for howitzers, anti-tank missiles, air surveillance radars and other aid.

Russian state television covered the president’s visit extensively.

Anchors claimed it’s clear from footage of the trip that Biden ‘runs things’ in Ukraine.

They pushed the Kremlin’s narrative that Zelensky’s government is a stooge of Biden and his team.

Some commentators noted Biden is looking to seek reelection and claimed the Kyiv visit could be kicking off his 2024 campaign.

‘Biden in Kyiv started his election campaign in the most heroic surroundings in order to prove to everyone that he can still `do it just like in the good old days’,’ Russian lawmaker Konstantin Kosachev said in a Telegram post.

They added: ‘Kyiv was left with no choice but to try and drive people to the senseless slaughter as part of Biden´s election campaign.’
