Her final text contained just a single word, but it haunts Jean Hanlon's (pictured) family to this day. 'Help', the message read.

A cruel man has been caught on a doorbell camera repeatedly whacking a puppy in the street.

The owner is shown on the video pulling a little bulldog breed on a lead.

He is seen crouching down as the baby dog refuses to move and says: ‘Come on, no come here.’

He then hits the puppy five times before shouting: ‘Move.’

In the heartbreaking 23-second Google Nest camera clip, the defenceless dog can be heard crying and whimpering.

The mystery man then goes out of view, but then reappears walking in the opposite direction carrying the dog.

The man then launches a foul-mouth rant and says: ‘I don’t want it no want it no more, he can f**k off.’

The video was posted by Faron Paul on his Instagram page.

He wrote: ‘NAME & SHAME and get him stopped from owning dogs, if he does this in broad day in public imagine behind closed doors.

‘He said “I don’t want it”. I don’t think the puppy wants him neither.’

The RSPCA is hunting the man after the dog was hit in the Hanley area of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire on Friday July 7.
