A man in his 30s has sadly died after collapsing at London‘s notorious Fabric nightclub. 

Police were called to a medical emergency shortly before 2am on Sunday. 

Despite efforts to resuscitate the man, he tragically died at the scene. 

Detectives say the death is being treated as unexpected and are trying to trace the man’s next of kin.  

Staff closed the club after the incident, according to reports. 

A Met Police spokesman told MailOnline: ‘Police were called by London Ambulance Service at 0142hrs on Sunday, 25 June to a venue in Charterhouse Street, EC1 to a report of a man who had collapsed.

‘Officers attended. A man in his 30s was receiving medical treatment upon their arrival.

‘Despite further efforts to resuscitate the man, he was pronounced dead at 0211hrs.

‘The death is being treated as unexpected at this early stage. Enquiries are ongoing.

‘The coroner has been informed. Officers are in the process of tracing next of kin.’

One clubber told The Sun: ‘The club closed suddenly, with everyone escorted out.

‘Later, the door staff said someone had died and nobody was allowed near the club.’
