An adult and two children have had a lucky escape following a horror crash on one of Sydney’s busiest roads, sparking major chaos during the morning peak hour.
The single vehicle crash occurred on Parramatta Road at Auburn in Sydney‘s west shortly before 9am on Tuesday morning.
Footage from the scene showed the car had mounted on the footpath and flipped onto its side.
The three occupants were briefly trapped inside the car before they were rescued from the wreckage by emergency responders.

No injuries have been reported.
The trio were assessed by paramedics as a precaution but didn’t need hospitalisation.

Eastbound lanes on Parramatta Road were shut down so emergency services could clear the scene.
Parramatta Road has since reopened but traffic remains heavy.
‘Eastbound lanes of Parramatta Rd are open again as the crash has been cleared. The diversion has been lifted and traffic should slowly ease,’ the latest Sydney Traffic alert states.
