A motorcyclist has cartwheeled through the air narrowly missing a power pole after a white sedan making a right-hand turn smashed into his bike on a busy road.
Footage of the shocking collision was released by a court this week, showing the male rider cruising down Torrens Road at Woodville North in Adelaide back in 2020.
The video of the car hitting him as it was turning into a street was captured from two angles by dashcam and a Mobil petrol station’s CCTV.
Vision taken from the driver’s point of view showed the approaching motorcyclist wearing a white t-shirt and black pants slamming into the car and being propelled into the air.
He flipped into a cartwheel before breaking the fall with his shoulder and coming to a skidding halt across the bitumen.

The Mobil CCTV vision showed the sedan waiting to turn right into a side street before it moved and hit the oncoming motorcyclist on the main road.
The rider was seen flipping twice in the air, missing a Stobie pole and coming to an abrupt stop on the ground.
It’s understood he was left with 14 broken bones, four fractures, serious head injuries and a punctured lung after the accident, The Advertiser reported.
The man also said on social media that he fractured his skull.
Online commenters were shocked over the incident but one rider said accidents like that will never stop him getting onto this bike.
‘As a rider this is scary and I’m so happy you didn’t smack that pole or catch a curb any worse than the ground caught you!’ one said.

‘It doesn’t matter how many motorcycle crashes I see, I forget about those the moment I get on my bike, they will never stop me riding,’ a third wrote.
‘Wow – missed that Stobie pole by centimetres! Lucky to be alive,’ said another.
‘That made me sick watching that,’ one more said.
