A woman has allegedly been stabbed to death in a horrific domestic violence incident which has left neighbours horrified.
Police were called to an unit block on Church Avenue in Sydney‘s Mascot about 6.10pm on Easter Sunday, where a woman believed to be in her 50s was found with knife wounds.
Paramedics tried desperately to revive the woman but she sadly died at the scene.

‘Police established a crime scene, which will undergo examination by specialist forensic police, and commenced an investigation,’ NSW Police said in a statement.
‘A 61-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Mascot Police Station where he is assisting police with their inquiries.’
The alleged victim is yet to be formally identified.
‘I live on the corner and I saw lot of police cars,’ one local resident said.
‘I feel so nervous and sad for the family. It’s so bad and it’s really scary.’
