Regrettably, the incident resulted in the loss of Chandler LeCroy, a staff member at the University of Georgia, and Devin Willock, a football player. Jalen Carter was operating a 2021 Jeep Trackhawk at the time of the accident. It’s worth noting that Carter had previously received citations for traffic violations on three separate occasions. Consequently, an arrest warrant was issued on March 1, 2023, implicating Carter in the accident.

The SUV collided with two power poles and several trees, resulting in the devastating loss of lives.
