Dashcam footage has captured the wild moment an idiot driver crashes directly into a bus while they were speeding down the wrong side of the road in Perth.
A 17-year-old Holden Commodore driver was caught speeding through the intersection of Towncentre Drive and Sugarwood Drive in Thornlie, before crashing into the TransPerth bus.
Footage of the incident shows the bus turning right, before the Commodore driver speeds directly into the side of the vehicle.
The car was dragged for more than two metres, narrowly avoiding a home on the corner of the intersection.
The entire incident was captured on dash cam.
‘I thought, ‘what an idiot’,’ Eddie Walker, who took the video, told PerthNow.
‘Never try to take on a bus and never overtake while a bus is turning.’
While the front of the Commodore was heavily damaged, there were no major injuries as a result of the crash.
‘The passenger in the Commodore only suffered minor cuts to his elbow and was shaken up,’ Mr Walker said.
