The intended target of the gunman who killed an innocent schoolgirl will be kept behind bars after being denied parole.
Joseph Nee, 35, was chased into the Merseyside home of nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel by a masked individual in August.
As the hitman went to fire the intended target, the young girl was shot in the chest, killing her, as she stood next to her mother in their home in Liverpool in August of this year.
Nee, who lived near Olivia’s home in the Dovecot area of the city, had spent time in prison throughout his life for a host of serious crimes including drug offences, burglary and theft.

He had been part of an organised criminal gang that were sentenced to 10 years in total in jail for a string of burglaries across the North West.
Nee was later caught after he led police officers on 125mph car chase through Cheshire and Merseyside.
In 2018 he was sentenced to spend 45 months in prison but was automatically released on licence in 2021, is understood.
On August 22 of this year, Nee forced his way into Olivia’s home while trying to flee the masked gunman.
The following morning he was arrested in hospital, where he was being treated for gunshot wounds, for breaching the terms of his parole.

Nee was then returned to prison to complete his sentence.
A Parole Board panel decision has now decided he will remain in jail for his sentence following a ‘paper review’ of his case, The Sun reports.
He has 28 days to appeal the decision.

He admitted two counts of burglary and two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, as well as dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.
Photographs of a topless Nee in HMP Kirkham, taken in 2019 and understood to have been shared onto Instagram by a drug gang baron, showed him bragging about life behind bars alongside fellow inmates.
Using the caption ‘costa del kirkham’ and ‘butlin behind bars’, the prisoners are seen relaxing in the warm weather and posing for the camera.
And in 2009, Nee was jailed for six and a half years for serving as a ‘trusted foot soldier’ in a drugs gang that help push heroin and crack cocaine onto the streets of Liverpool.
