A 16-year-old boy from Australia has slammed a ‘childish’ American rapper for not crediting him after he completely transformed her hit song.
EightyTwo, a music producer and artist, said he was approached by ‘Brylaun’, an aspiring singer and rapper, to help mix and tune some of her new songs.
In a tell-all video this week, he described the musician as one of the most ‘childish’ and ‘unprofessional’ people he had worked with.
He claims the artist failed to credit him as a featured artist on tracks she is making money off and has asked her to ‘take down’ the songs from her platforms.
Brylaun says despite her repeatedly asking, the teen didn’t want any money for the work and says she only made about $5 to $10 dollars from the songs.
In a video posted on social media, EightyTwo said Brylaun had discovered his remix of her debut song ‘Call Me Back’ and asked if she could release the track herself.
He said she could, but only if she credited him as a featured artist.

When the remix was released, EightyTwo’s name wasn’t on the track. He reached out to Brylaun and asked that his name be added to the song, which she agreed to do.
He shrugged it off as a ‘simple mistake’ and agreed to mix some more tracks for the rapper’s upcoming album.
‘She doesn’t explicitly say this but she wants me to do it for free. I’m a 16-year-old artist from Australia and I need any exposure I can get, so I agree,’ he says.
The teen said once the album was released, there was still crediting issues.
‘I’m only featured on the tracks where I made the beats, even though I tuned and worked on the vocals on every single track on the album,’ he said.
‘We agreed to me being featured on every song as I was working for her for free.’
The next time the artist asked him to mix her vocals, EightyTwo told her she was busy but would ‘try and get it done’.
The teen compared the raw vocals he received from Brylaun and the ones he had mixed and tuned before addressing the artist directly.

‘Brylaun, if you’re not going to credit me for what I did please take down my hard work that you’re getting paid for,’ he warns.

Producer EightyTwo made a tell-all video this week slamming the rapper as one of the most ‘childish’ and unprofessional’ people he had worked with
The rapper quickly responded with her side of the story in a series of now-deleted videos.
‘I didn’t steal anything from the producer. He made two things for me, a ‘Call Me Back’ remix after the song was blowing up on its own, and an album,’ she said.
‘Before we did anything he said he didn’t want any money, he didn’t want anything but credit. When [the songs] dropped, he was mentioned in it.’
Brylaun said she had deleted the music video for ‘Call Me Back’ to ‘make peace’ and that her songs had gone viral before she had even met EightyTwo.
‘The stuff that me and him dropped didn’t get no type of streams, I didn’t get no type of money from that,’ she continued.
‘Probably like $5 or $10 dollars because it didn’t do good.’

Hundreds of people have since sided with EightyTwo since he shared his story on social media and have left dozens of comments on Brylaun’s videos asking her to credit him.
‘He just wants to be credited. What part of that can you not understand?’ one said.
‘He did it for free. The least you can do is give credit. Working for free is not something you can take for granted like that,’ a second said.
‘Pretty sure if he didn’t mix the vocals, she wouldn’t have gotten the views and listeners,’ a third commented.
