Two secret service agents quickly scrambled to assist President Biden in finding his ball in some nearby bushes located near the golf course

President Biden appeared to have lost his ball during a round of golf while on vacation in the US Virgin Islands- where he and his family are basking in balmy 81F temperatures and endless sunshine.

The mishap happened on Friday while the 80-year-old president – looking sporty in a white polo shirt, blue shorts and a cap – was golfing on the 18-hole course at the ultra-lux Buccaneer Beach and Golf Resort in Christiansted, St. Croix.

The octogenarian was pictured with his 16-year-old grandson, Robert, who is referred to by some family members as ‘Hunter.’

Two secret service agents quickly scrambled to assist the nation’s leader in finding his ball in some nearby bushes, as critics wonder whether Biden is mentally fit to run in the next Presidential election.

Biden – who spent Christmas at the White House – has been spending time with family on an extended break in St. Croix at the 17th century tropical estate that has plenty to keep him occupied, including tennis, three beaches, two freshwater pools, and restaurants galore on the 340-acre property.

The president is not scheduled to return to the White House until January 2.

Some guests of the hotel were apparently amused by the presidential sighting and snapped some photos.

After the not-entirely successful game of golf, Biden headed out to dinner with his entire brood to one of the island’s top restaurants called Savant in downtown Christiansted.

The President dined with his wife and First Lady Jill Biden, and his grandchildren Hunter, 16, and Natalie, 18, from his late son, Beau Biden. His daughter Ashley and her husband Howard Krein were also on the island holiday.

When Biden was asked by some reporters at the restaurant about the upcoming 2024 presidential election, he joked, ‘There’s an election coming up?’ He went on to say that ‘2023 is going to be a good year.’

While there has been no official decision made, Biden has previously said his intention is to seek reelection in 2024.

As Biden relaxes in balmy temps, Buffalo is still recovering from a catastrophic storm that hit the city with nearly 52 inches of snow and took the lives of 37 people earlier this week.

The island of St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands has been one of the Bidens’ favorite vacation destinations, a spot he traveled to when he was the Vice President serving under former President Barack Obama, Caribbean Journal reported.

But this is his first trip to the US territory as President.

The Bidens are staying at the St. Croix home of billionaire Democratic donors Bill and Connie Neville, according to The White House. The Bidens are not paying rent but staying as ‘guests’ at the home on Solitude Bay, a private community with its own beach. Houses there can sell for around $3million, according to property websites.

While away the President was still working on his agenda.

On Thursday, Biden donned a suit and tie to sign the 4,000-page, $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill, which will fund the government through September 2023.

The bill had to be flown to Biden commercially from Washington.

It’s not the first time a piece of legislation has flown commercial to the president’s location.

In May, a $40billion US package of assistance for Ukraine was sent with a staffer on a commercial flight to South Korea, when Biden was in Seoul for meetings with Asian leaders.

On Friday night, the President and First Lady, pre-taped an interview – as 2022 comes to a close – set to Saturday air on night on ABC’s ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.’
