Chicago police told NBC 5 there was a ‘call of service’ at the building.

In an interview with WBBM, one resident described the chaos inside the building.
‘I was just doing some housework and some cooking and I decided to take some air,’ the man who identified himself as Steve said.
‘I came down to the lobby and I was quickly escorted away from the lobby, out of the building and was told not to come back until it was clear,’ the man said.
‘I asked several times what was going on and they wouldn’t acknowledge,’ he continued.
According to the reporter the man spoke with, residents were not permitted to enter the building for several hours Wednesday afternoon.
