Gregory LeNoir Allman was an American singer musician, singer, and songwriter born on December 8, 1947, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was known for performing with the Allman Brothers Band. Gregg grew up bigger interest in rhythm and blues music, and the band fused it with rock music, country, and jazz at times. Gregg had 10 million Dollars as net worth and also owned an estate. His estate was not inherited by anyone because he had updated his will for over two decades and this caused misunderstandings.

His parents were Geraldine Robbins Allman and Willis Turner Allman. Gregg’s father Willis got shot after offering a hitchhiker a ride home in Norfolk, Virginia. His mother catered for them since then and never married again.

Gregg and his elder brother, Duane Allman were enrolled in Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon.
The singer and his band released records in 1969 and 1970 but they suffered poor sales. In July 1971, the band released a record, At Filmore East and it peaked at 13 on Billboard’s Top Pop Album chart and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

After the fame, the band was now into drugs like heroin and cocaine. Allman and his brother got into a heated argument after a part of his cocaine supply was gone, Duane died of a motor accident in Macon on October 29, 1971.

The singer married seven different women from 1971-2017. The first was Shelley Kay Jefts(1971-1972), and the last one was Shannon Williams in 2017. The union above brought about five children which include Elijah Blue and Devon.

Allman got a lot of awards which included a Grammy Award, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Music Hall of Fame and Georgia Music Hall of Fame. He placed 70th in the Rolling Stone “100 greatest singers of All-Time”
