Jesse Donald Knotts, popularly known as Don Knotts, was an American actor and comedian born on July 21, 1924, in Morgantown, West Virginia, U.S. Knotts was now in the public eye after starring in “The Ghost and Mr. Chicken”(1966), The Incredible Mr. Limpet(1964) and also by his role as Deputy Sherrif on The Andy Griffith Show, a 1960s Sitcom which earned five Emmy Awards. He was worth 20 million Dollars at the time of his death. Don Knotts was inherited by his third and last wife Frances Yarborough.

Knotts’s parents were William Jesse Knotts and Elsie Luzzeta Knotts. Don was the youngest of their four children Wllis, William, and Ralph.

He earned his college degree in the 1940s and served in the United States Army in the World War II era where he chose to be a Ventriloquist and comedian as part of the G.I variety show named ” Stars and Gripes”.
Robert married three times when he was alive. Kathryn Metz(1947-1964), Loralee Czuchna(1974-1983), and Frances Yarborough from 2002 till he die in 2006. Out of his first marriage, he had two Children and they were Thomas Knotts and Karen Knotts.

With his good works, he won five Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, inducted into the T.V. Hall of Fame for Actors and Actresses in 2007.

Don Knotts was regarded as 27th in its top 50 TV stars of All Time according to T.V. Guide.
Knotts died at age 81 due to pulmonary and respiratory complications of pneumonia and lung cancer.
