Arne Næss Jr. is a Norwegian businessman born on December 8, 1937, in Germany and he died on January 13, 2004, while climbing the Groot Drakenstein Mountains. He owned a shipping company which was 600 million Dollars at the time of his death, he also owned an estate that was shared among his children Ross Arne Naess and Evan Olav Naess.
The name of his parents was Kiki Næss and August Oskar German.

Næss Jr. married twice. He married Diana Ross(1985-2000) and he later married Filippa Kumlin D’orey in 1966 and they both went their separate ways in 1982.
Aside from doing the shipping business, Arne was also a mountaineer. He won an award for Laureus Lifetime Achievement Award due to his contribution to sports.
