Andy Samuel Griffith was an American Television Producer, Sothern Gospel singer, comedian, and writer born on June 1, 1926, in Mount Airy, North California, U.S. His career thrived for seventy years and won many awards for his talents. Andy amassed 60 million Dollars as his net worth during his active days. His fortunes were inherited, by his third and last wife, Cindi Knights, and his adopted daughter, Dixie.

The T.V. personality was the only child of his parents, Carl Lee Griffith and Geneva. He stayed with family members until his parents were able to afford a home. Griffith attended Mount Airy High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1949. He was raised as a Baptist and was a Democrat.
