Ghanaian boxer Seth Gyimah, also known as Freezy MacBones, has switched his nationality to the United Kingdom. The 33-year-old boxer, who was born in Ghana, has been living in the UK since 2016. He made his professional boxing debut in 2019 and has since won all of his fights.

Gyimah’s decision to switch nationality comes as a surprise to many. He had previously expressed his desire to represent Ghana at the Olympics and in international boxing tournaments. However, he said that he made the decision to switch nationality after he felt that he was not getting the support he needed from the Ghana Boxing Authority.
“I’ve been training hard and I’ve been winning fights, but I feel like I’m not getting the recognition I deserve from the Ghana Boxing Authority,” Gyimah said. “I’ve been asking for help with my training and with getting fights, but I’ve been getting nothing. I feel like I’m not being given a fair chance.”

Gyimah said that he is now looking forward to representing the UK in international boxing. He said that he is grateful for the support he has received from the British Boxing Board of Control and that he is confident that he can achieve great things in the sport.
“I’m excited to start this new chapter in my career,” Gyimah said. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent the UK and I’m determined to make the most of it.”
Gyimah’s decision to switch nationality has been met with mixed reactions in Ghana. Some people have expressed their disappointment, while others have said that they understand his decision.

“I’m disappointed that Freezy has decided to switch nationality,” said Abraham Neequaye, the President of the Ghana Boxing Authority. “He is a talented boxer and he could have done great things for Ghana. However, I understand his decision. He feels like he is not getting the support he needs and he wants to be able to achieve his full potential.”
Gyimah’s decision is a reminder of the challenges that many African boxers face when trying to make it in the sport. Many African boxers are forced to move to Europe or North America in order to get the opportunities they need to succeed. This can be a difficult decision, as it often means leaving their families and friends behind. However, it is often the only way for them to pursue their dreams of becoming professional boxers.
Gyimah is hoping that his decision to switch nationality will help him to achieve his goals. He is a talented boxer with a bright future ahead of him. It will be interesting to see how he performs in the UK and whether he can become a world champion.
