Wunmi, the wife of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has responded to the renewed public calls for a DNA test following activist VeryDarkMan’s recent remarks.
The controversy was reignited after VeryDarkMan referenced messages allegedly sent by actress Iyabo Ojo, encouraging Wunmi to conduct another DNA test for her son, Liam. This prompted many fans to demand clarity on the child’s paternity, alongside questions surrounding Mohbad’s mysterious death.
Taking to her Instagram story, Wunmi addressed the speculation. She firmly stated that Liam is her son and will remain so until “God calls him home.” She emphasized her commitment to raising him with love, guidance, and emotional support.
Wunmi also pledged to be a constant source of strength for her son, promising never to abandon him. Despite her heartfelt words, many social media users remained skeptical, demanding she publicly confirm the child’s biological father.
Some supporters defended her, while others turned their criticism toward Iyabo Ojo, accusing her of manipulating private conversations—similar to claims surrounding the recently exposed WhatsApp group by VeryDarkMan.
Mohbad’s father has also maintained pressure on Wunmi, insisting a DNA test be done. Wunmi, however, previously alleged that he hindered her attempts when she was prepared to proceed.
