Wizkid Breaks Record As “Kese” Released 24 Hours Ago Surpasses 1.5 million Spotify Streams on Debut

Wizkid Breaks Streaming Records with Latest Single “Kese” on Spotify

Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has set a new milestone with his latest single, Kese, which amassed over 1.5 million streams on Spotify within 24 hours of its release. This remarkable feat shatters the previous record held by Davido’s Awuke.

Kese, a standout track from Wizkid’s recently released album Morayo, continues the momentum set by his earlier single Piece of My Heart, a collaboration with American artist Brent Faiyaz. The latter also achieved a remarkable milestone, surpassing one million Spotify streams on its debut day.

According to Chart Data, Wizkid dominates Nigeria’s music charts, occupying the top two spots for highest-streamed songs on their debut. Kese leads as the most-streamed, with Piece of My Heart following closely in second place.

Adding to the Afrobeats wave, Asake’s Grammy-nominated track MMS from his album Lungu Boy, which features Wizkid, secured the third spot with 870,000 debut-day streams.

Wizkid’s record-breaking achievements further solidify his status as a global music icon and highlight the growing influence of Afrobeats on the international stage.
