Valencia have officially opted against signing Nigerian international Umar Sadiq on a permanent basis following the expiration of his loan deal, Estadio Deportivo reports.
The 28-year-old forward is one of six players departing Mestalla this month after the club concluded its assessment of all returning loanees.
Others leaving include Max Aarons, Barrenechea, Rafa Mir, Mamardashvili, and Iván Jaime.
Valencia’s decision not to retain Sadiq stems from Real Sociedad’s high transfer demands.
The Basque side have ruled out another loan and placed the striker on the market, but their valuation is considered excessive by Valencia’s hierarchy.
Despite Sadiq’s interest in staying, the club will not pursue further negotiations.
In contrast, Valencia are prioritising a return for Iván Jaime and have initiated talks with Porto over a second loan spell.
Unlike Sadiq, Jaime has the support of the technical staff, although an agreement with the Portuguese club remains pending.
Sadiq, who joined Real Sociedad in 2022, will now await offers elsewhere as the summer transfer window unfolds.
