Manchester United struggles continued as they opened their Champions League campaign with a 4-3 defeat against Bayern Munich.
The Red Devils who have been grappling with challenges both on and off the pitch in recent weeks, were unable to secure a victory in Germany.
The defeat followed a 3-1 loss at home to Brighton, marking the first time the club has endured three consecutive defeats since April 2019 during Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s tenure.
Manchester United initially had a strong start to the match, but a mistake by goalkeeper Andre Onana allowed Leroy Sane to score on 28 minutes.
Bayern Munich extended their lead four minutes later with a goal from Serge Gnabry.

In the second half, Rasmus Hojlund scored his first goal for Manchester United, reducing the deficit.
However, a controversial VAR decision awarded a penalty to former United transfer target Harry Kane, who restored Bayern’s two-goal advantage.
Despite a late rally by Manchester United, with Casemiro scoring twice and a stoppage-time effort by Mathys Tel, it was not enough to secure a comeback as the match ended 4-3 in favour of the host.
After the match, goalkeeper Onana acknowledged his mistake, saying, “It’s difficult. We started very well, but after my mistake, we lost control of the game.
“It’s a tough situation for us, for me,” Onana added, while expressing his resolve to learn from his errors.
