Hailing from Croydon, Tino Livramento started his football journey at a young age when he joined Chelsea’s youth academy at Under 9 level from his local club Roundshaw. Initially playing as a striker during his time at Roundshaw, he developed a passion for the sport and became a Chelsea supporter.
In recognition of his outstanding performance in the 2020–2021 season, Livramento was named Chelsea Academy Player of the Year. Towards the end of the season, he even appeared on the bench in Premier League games against Manchester City and Arsenal.
Contract negotiations between Chelsea and Livrament hit a snag in July 2021, fueling speculation of his potential departure from the club. Several English clubs, including Southampton, Brighton and Hove Albion, as well as foreign clubs such as AC Milan and RB Leipzig, have reportedly expressed an interest in him.
Finally, Livramento joined Southampton, another Premier League side, in August 2021 after failing to reach an agreement with Chelsea. The transfer reportedly included a £25 million buy-back clause. He made his Premier League debut for Southampton on 14 August 2021 in a 3–1 defeat against Everton. On 23 October 2021, Livramento scored his first professional goal in a 2–2 draw with Burnley. Unfortunately, his playing time was cut short due to an ACL injury sustained during Southampton’s 2–2 draw with Brighton on 24 April 2022, which ruled him out for the rest of the year.
After a 392-day absence from the pitch, Livramento made his long-awaited return to the Southampton lineup on 21 May 2023, coming on as a 77th-minute substitute during a 3–1 defeat by Brighton.
