Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu has mourned the passing of actor Oloto, a colleague she frequently worked with in the film industry.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress revealed that Oloto portrayed her father-in-law in her most recent movie, Ole. She described the late actor as a mentor and boss, expressing deep sorrow over his untimely demise, though she refrained from disclosing the circumstances surrounding his death.
Reflecting on their professional relationship, Chukwu shared that Oloto played a pivotal role in her acting journey. He had once advised her to acquire makeup skills during her early years in the industry and even connected her with the late Sisi Quadri to help refine those skills. She recalled that he consistently supported her, often making himself available even on short notice.
The actress also acknowledged Oloto’s contributions to several of their joint projects, including Ole, Update, and Legal Wife.
The Nigerian entertainment industry has been hit with multiple losses in recent days. Only a few days ago, the death of TikTok dancer Vivian Chinelo, popularly known as Bigbutfuit, was announced. She reportedly battled hernia before her passing, although her unique body shape had previously fueled rumors of cosmetic surgery.
In a related tragedy, Nollywood star Tom Njemanze also lost his life after a prolonged battle with cancer, further deepening the wave of grief across the industry.
