Born on January 16, 1997, he currently plays as a central defender for renowned La Liga club Villarreal and also represents the Spanish national team.
Torres was born in Villarreal, in the province of Castellón, within the Community of Valencia, and began his football journey in the youth ranks of his hometown club. He made his league debut for Villarreal’s reserve team on 21 August 2016, coming on in a 1–0 away loss against Cornellà in Segunda División B.
Torres scored his first senior goal on 8 October 2016, assisting in a 2–2 home draw against Badalona. Later that season, on 20 December, he made a competitive appearance for Villarreal’s first team, coming on as a late substitute for Víctor Ruiz in a 1–1 home draw against Toledo in the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey. The momentous moment made him the first player born in Villarreal to make his debut for the club in 13 years.
His La Liga debut came on 26 November 2017, replacing fellow youth player Manu Trigueros in a 2–3 home defeat against Sevilla.
