American Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim is soaking up the summer sun in a little bikini!
The two-time Olympic gold medalist became the youngest woman to win an Olympic gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics when she was only 17. The 23-year-old athlete has been thinking about retirement, but it looks like she’s getting ready to hit the slopes… after she has a little fun in the sun!
Olympic Snowboarder Chloe Kim Is Having Fun In The Sun In Her Bikini Before She Gets Back To Training

On Monday night, the California native took to Instagram to share a selfie that featured her flaunting her toned abs and her summer tan in a silver bikini that stood out against her glowing skin. Her dark hair stands out against the green grass as she smiles up at the camera.
In another photograph, she is much more bundled up as she smiles down at the camera for another selfie. In this shot, she is wearing a pair of white pants and a grey hoodie. She has the hood pulled up over her head as she lets her long dark hair fall in front of her face.

In the caption of this Instagram post, Chloe wrote, “Happy happy Monday! I’ve been enjoying the last lil bit of home before I head off to start training again. As you may know, I took this past winter off from snowboarding to give my mind and body a break. I felt pretty burnt out after the Beijing Olympics, even strongly considered retirement.”
“But I quickly realized that that feeling had stemmed from me neglecting my needs as a young adult and only prioritizing what was needed of me to perform as an athlete,” she continued. “This year off was essential for me to just figure it all out. I’ve learned a lot about myself and I finally feel ready to get back on snow. Appreciate everyone and your continued support. Means the world to me.”

Fans and famous friends were quick to share their support. Athlete and author Scout Bassett commented, “Love you for prioritizing yourself and your self-care first. You are glowing in every way and we can’t wait to see you doing what you love.” Lifeguard Amanda Atkins wrote, “Mental miles are just as important as physical miles! Always good to take some time for yourself. You gotta fill your cup.”

You’re gonna rock it this year. Good luck!” another fan chimed in. “So glad you got to enjoy life. You’ve accomplished so much. Wishing you all the happiness, Chloe!” another follower wrote.
Chloe Took A Year Off To ‘Reset’ After ‘Fun But Draining Year’

In April 2022, Chloe told Cheddar News that she was taking some time off from competing “to reset,” making it clear that she didn’t want to “get back into it after such a fun but draining year at the same time.” She actually said that it was “refreshing” to head back to Princeton University and spend time around non-athletes.
“It was nice to know I can make friends with people that weren’t snowboarders or in the industry,” she said at the time. “It’s just nice to have that separation and to get away from the thought of working.”
That being said, she was already planning to make her return to the 2026 Games in Italy. “I just want to enjoy this moment, take it all in, and then get back to it when I feel like I’m ready,” Kim explained. “As of now, the plan is most definitely to go after a third medal.”

In February 2022, Chloe admitted that she felt overwhelmed by the pressures of international fame in an interview with Savannah Guthrie on the “Today” show. She said that her cheeks “were hurting so bad from faking smiling” but she felt the pressure to be “always on” and “always excited” in front of a crowd.
Fortunately, it looks like the star athlete has taken some time to work on her mental health and her fans can’t wait to see her return bigger and better than ever!
