Stranger Things actor Noah Schnapp has come under criticism for liking a controversial social media post that purportedly mocked pro-Palestinian fans and Muslims. Noa Tishby, an Instagram user, shared the post. Tishby posted a humorous photo on her Instagram on Sunday with the caption: “Huge part of our Jewish culture is using humor to deal with trauma.” It alleviates the agony. Please follow these pro-Hamas college students as they attempt to normalise a tragedy. Sigh.” The video, which has over 80,000 views, has a fictional YouTube channel called Columbia Utisemity News, where the presenters say that everyone is welcome, especially LGBTQH (H stands for Hamas).
The video shows the naive presenters interviewing a freedom fighter in Gaza dressed in “oppression chic” garb and hidden in a tunnel beneath a Gaza hospital, who repeatedly declares his murderous intent, using terminology like “racist fluid,” and bringing up the matter of humanitarian relief. Many people have accused the video of being Islamophobic and anti-LGBTQ. Noah Schnapp was singled out by internet users for liking the article. Netizens were quick to criticise Noah Schnapp after news of him liking Noa Tishby’s tweet went viral. Along with Schnapp, Jamie Lee Curtis and Justin Beiber were chastised online for posting messages in support of Israel while also presenting photographs of the destruction of Gaza caused by the Israel Defence Force.
Noah Schnapp is the perfect encapsulation of white queer racist homonationalism.
Endorsing and amplifying Ben Shapiro, co-founder of Daily Wire; the platform/architect of most anti LGBT bigotry in the States rn.
But all in the name of killing Muslims so it’s fine I guess. pic.twitter.com/EbEu2QNMBv

Noah Schnapp Incites Uproar After Liking A Contentious Islamophobic Gaza Post
Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp infuriated many after liking a post mocking Muslims during the recent Israel-Hamas conflict. The actor, who portrays the role of Will Byers in the enormously popular Netflix series, has already spoken out on the violence, tweeting a social media message of solidarity for Israel. Following the uproar caused by the 19-year-old’s original post last month, with many criticising his statement, the star’s Instagram behaviour has continued to irritate many. Noa Tishby, the author of “Israel: A Simple Guide,” shared a funny video on Instagram. In the video, there was a fake YouTube news show where the hosts talked about how ‘everyone is welcome, LGBTQH…’ with the H being for Hamas. They pretended to ‘interview’ a freedom fighter in Gaza after yelling “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” They also called their outfits “oppression chic” and described Palestine as “so welcoming and inclusive.” ‘A significant part of our Jewish culture is utilising humor to deal with trauma,’ the remark said alongside the footage, which had more than 60,000 likes at. It alleviates the agony.’Please join us as we follow these pro-Hamas college students on their quest to normalise a slaughter. Sigh.
Tonight on the Israeli satire television show “What a Wonderful Country” – @liat_har_lev @tamirbar. Many people have criticised Schnapp for liking the satirical footage, which has been regarded as Islamophobic and disrespectful to the LGBTQ community. Vile. ‘Absolutely horrible,’ a Reddit user commented. ‘Horrible piece of s**t. ‘I hope his career takes a nosedive after Stranger Things,’ another said. ‘His empathy is as restricted as his acting ability,’ commented one enthusiast. ‘What a stupid, disgusting move. ‘Plus, the nicest thing I can say regarding that video is that it’s extremely unfunny,’ one viewer commented. ‘He is disgusting, and I will never, ever watch or promote anything he’s in,’ one raged. This isn’t the first time Noah Schnapp has been chastised online for his views on the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. The actor delivered a statement on October 11, 2023, about the October 7 Hamas incident. He was quickly chastised online for his words, with many accusing him of failing to recognise the years of strife that led to the attack. Along with Schnapp, Jamie Lee Curtis and Justin Beiber were chastised online for posting messages in support of Israel while also presenting photographs of the destruction of Gaza perpetrated by the Israel Defence Force.
I hope he’s preparing for D-list status once stranger things is over and he won’t get casted

Homonationalism????
Distraught to learn that just means a homosexual nationalist and not, in-fact, someone being pro a nation governed entirely by homosexuals.

Stop lying. That isn’t what he did. He liked a post which was satirizing the board contradiction of people supporting political movements who would kill them in a second for who they are.

This stuff should be career ending. Even if Hollywood does nothing as per usual, the public needs to boycott him and Amy Schumer. Enough is enough. They’re all crossing a line.
