NLE Choppa lost the Powerade deal in light of Ja Morant’s gun video

NLE Choppa who was all set to feature his new song in Powerade ended up losing the commercial due to Ja Morant’s publicity problems.

Ja Morant’s gun video has led NLE Choppa to lose the Powerade commercial

Sources with direct information reported to TMZ Hip Hop saying that NLE Choppa’s latest song titled, ‘Mo Up Front’ was slated to include in Ja Morant and Powerade’s campaign called ‘What 50% More Means.’

Moreover, the . was supposed to highlight the March Madness tournament by the NCAA.

However, Choppa’s plans were crushed in the wake of Ja Morant’s infamous video where he flashed his gun in front of the camera. Additionally, Morant is currently serving an eight-game suspension from the NBA.

Hence, due to the aforementioned reasons, Choppa was kicked out of the commercial for his new song.

According to reports, Choppa is still a fan of Ja Morant despite missing out on the opportunity for national exposure. He also maintains a good relationship with the Grizzlies in his hometown.

Meanwhile, Choppa is reported to participate in the celebrity basketball game of the team. The game is set to take place on 20th March and will benefit St. Jude’s hospital.

NLE Choppa is all set to drop his sophomore album titled Cottonwood in April this year. Moreover, it will serve as the second installment to the series he debuted in 2019.

The Memphis rapper has already released previews of his tracks such as Champions, 23, and his most viral hit Do It Again which features 2 Rare.

Furthermore, Choppa went on to release his recent song titled, Mo Up Front on 10th March.

He raps, ‘Tell ‘em that I know money, use to getting dope money/ Now I’m getting show money, I need some mo up front, trafficking a snow bunny/ Running thru a bag of , tell em that I know money, I need some mo upfront.’

Choppa sings, ‘Ain’t gotta look for me b**ch you know where I’m at, anywhere where a check on my set/ I ain’t never been debt stacks on deck racks on my neck n**ga better come correct.’

Besides that, Choppa is gearing up to release his upcoming track Ain’t Gonna Answer alongside Lil Wayne next week.

Choppa released his last record Me vs. Me back in  2022 which consisted of 16 songs with collaborations with artists such as Young Thug, and Moneybagg Yo.
