John Mikel Obi has suggested that Chelsea could still make a move for Victor Osimhen in the near future.
Speaking on his podcast, Mikel recalled how both parties came close to an agreement this summer, but Osimhen finally joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan.
Despite the deal with Chelsea falling through, Mikel remains optimistic about a future union.
He likened Osimhen’s style of play to former Chelsea strikers Didier Drogba and Diego Costa, emphasizing the Nigerian’s strength and ability to intimidate defenders.
Mikel added, “There are no issues. If we pick this back up in January or next summer, it’s just a matter of finalizing some details to complete the deal.”
