Career of Max Kellerman
Kellerman began his profession as a broadcaster when he was young. He hosted a show called Max on Boxing on public cable television in New York. After graduation, however, his career path took a turn for the better.
In the late 1990s, Kellerman was hired as an analyst for ESPN’s Friday Night Fights boxing show. In November 2002, after several years as an analyst, he got his own show, Around the Horn. Despite the huge success of the show, Killman and ESPN were unable to reach an agreement. As a result, he left the network in 2004.
He co-hosted I, Max with Michael Holley and Bill Wolff on Fox Sports Net. The show was canceled the following year despite receiving top ratings. He later accepted to join MSNBC’s Tucker show as a regular contributor.
Kellerman also co-hosted the 2006 season of King of Vegas on Spike TV.
Kellerman’s 1050 ESPN Radio Journey began on August 21, 2006. He co-hosted WEPN’s 7 p.m. with Sid Rosenberg. He had a wild ride with ESPN, changing broadcast schedules, durations and cohosts several times. As a result, Kellerman and ESPN Radio amicably parted ways on March 9, 2009.
HBO signs Killer man to televise Boxing After Dark amid ESPN Radio deal. Along with Jim Lampley, Harold Lederman and Roy Jones Jr. later became a member of the HBO World Championship Boxing main team. Max had a fantastic platform with HBO but was forced to quit boxing at the end of 2018.
He then agreed to a multi-year deal with ESPN to cover boxing for the network. Killerman has also worked at CNN, ESPNLA 710 and other companies. Kellerman made his acting debut in 2006.
