‘Make Me Want To’ Singer Faces Sexual Assault Lawsuit Amidst Divorce Filing

The songwriter, facing a sexual assault lawsuit filed by a former management team member, is being accused of allegedly sexually abusing and harassing the individual for nearly two years.
Interestingly, this distressing update reported by The Blast emerged shortly after Allen and his pregnant wife officially filed for divorce, a decision which Gale had hinted at through her act of unfollowing him on social media.
In the lawsuit, the accuser — Jane Doe, claimed that the singer forcibly took her virginity during a work trip to Los Angeles in March 2021. According to her account, she woke up naked in her hotel room with vaginal bleeding and intense pain after a business dinner, without memory of the events that transpired.
The plaintiff further stated that he had urged her to take a Plan B pill following the alleged incident, supposedly to prevent pregnancy. She recalled the incident saying:
“I was disconnected from my body, feeling a sense of panic. He held me in place. At that point, any physical will was just out the door. I was pretty much paralyzed.”
She also listed additional instances where she alleged that the “Mercury Lane” artist sexually abused her. These incidents include accusations of repeated rape, groping, and the secret recording of their sexual encounters. In response to the allegations, Allen denied them and expressed his distress, stating in a statement to PEOPLE:
“It is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues, and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever.”
He asserted that their relationship had been consensual and added that his accuser had attempted to extort money from him after their affair had ended.
