The 282 mountains that meet the standard are collectively referred to as Munros. Aarons completed the challenge by climbing 459,000 feet, or 16 ascents of Mount Everest.
Between each Munro she ran, cycled and kayaked, covering a combined distance of about 1,500km on foot and about the same distance on bike.
Aarons is originally from California but moved to Scotland in 2005 to serve as a social work adviser to the Scottish Government.
She started the effort on 26 May at Ben More on the Isle of Mull and ended it at 16:57 BST on 31 May at Ben Klibreck in Sutherland in the Scottish Highlands.
Former sailor Donnie Campbell from Skye previously held the record for the self-propelled Munro challenge. It took him 31 days, 23 hours and 2 minutes to complete the task.
The previous record for the fastest woman was set in 2017 by Libby Kerr and Lisa Trollope, who completed the challenge in a combined time of 76 days and 10 hours. Aaron’s time was also less than half of that record.
She has tackled all the Munros twice before, once with her partner Andy Taylor and once with Mr Taylor, the couple’s two dogs and their gear.
As well as breaking the record, Aarons raised £14,000 for World Bicycle Relief, a charity that gives bikes to children in less developed countries so they can be more mobile and have better access to essentials such as schools, markets and health facilities.
“My journey will take me across the length and breadth of Scotland, across sea and loch, from remote glens to the highest point in the United Kingdom; and through more miles of swamp than I can think of,” she said at the start of the marathon.
She went on to say that donating money to a good cause would “motivate me through the tough miles.” Follow: https://mymorningtea.in/
