- Solomon Buchi congratulated media personality Toke Makinwa on her pregnancy but cautioned against attributing personal decisions to God or Jesus

Nigerian writer and life coach, Solomon Buchi, has weighed in on the recent buzz surrounding media personality Toke Makinwa’s pregnancy revelation.
In a post circulating online, Buchi congratulated Toke Makinwa on her journey to motherhood but also expressed concerns about the way faith was invoked in the announcement.
“I am happy Toke Makinwa is having a child, but I have a problem with mixing Jesus and God with it. We need to be very careful with how we mix Jesus with our personal decisions,” he said in the video
Toke Makinwa had earlier shared a throwback Snapchat post from six years ago where she wished to have a daughter, expressing gratitude to God that her desire is now being fulfilled.
While many fans and celebrities celebrated with her, Buchi’s reaction has sparked fresh conversations online about faith, personal choices, and how public figures frame their life experiences in relation to religion.
In other news…. Nigerian social media users were recently surprised to see another post from Wunmi, Mohbad’s widow. This comes after online critic VeryDarkMan called for a fresh DNA test.
The mother of one took to social media to express her love for her son, Liam, assuring that he would never hear words that make him feel neglected from her side.
She wrote:
“My child will never hear ‘ion owe you nothing’ from me & ide if they 30. baby i owe you everything i owe you guidance, i owe you love, i owe you a shoulder to cey on, i owe you a listening ear, i owe you somewhere you can come back to if life gets hard.”
“I owe you big time baby cause YOU MINE TILL GOD CALL YOU HOME TO BE HIS. As a PARENT we owe what we brought on this earth, mines will ALWAYS have me & I will always be there.”
In a recent development, Wunmi reposted a video where they discussed the importance of keeping children away from people who harbor resentment. She wrote:
“Never allow your child to be near people who don’t like you. Remember, if they don’t like you, they also won’t like your children. So never allow your child to be near anyone who is against you.”
