Gigi Hadid, a well-known model and celebrity, has reportedly been arrested in the Cayman Islands for possessing marijuana during her vacation. She was accompanied by her friend Leah Nicole McCarthy at the time of the incident. According to Cayman Marl Road, Gigi’s luggage was scanned by airport officers upon arrival, leading to a more thorough search.
During the search, officers discovered marijuana and items used for consuming it. As a result, Gigi and Leah, who are 28 and 29 years old respectively, were arrested on suspicion of importing marijuana and related utensils. They were taken to the Prisoner Detention Center but were later released on bail after being processed.
In court on July 12, both women pleaded guilty to the charges. They were fined $1,000 each but were fortunate to avoid a recorded conviction on their records.

Gigi’s representative responded to the incident, stating that she was carrying marijuana legally purchased in New York City with a medical license.
