The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” alum is no stranger to causing a stir on social media either with her body or lavish lifestyle. The voluptuous beauty recently took things up a notch with what appeared to be an unconventional tribute.
Following the loss of Smash Mouth band’s frontman and lead vocalist Steve Harwell, the Los Angeles native seemingly honored the musician’s memory with a sexy post. However, the mother of four’s thirst trap did not sit right with many, given the situation.

The “Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor” actress appeared to be dealing with the rock star’s death uniquely by ditching her clothes for a witty reference. In her latest Instagram update, the 42-year-old shared a stunning mirror selfie.
The post featured two pictures taken in front of a full-length mirror situated in what appeared to be a hotel room. The SKIMS founder stripped down for a tempting display in a gold bikini.
The string set featured a halter-neck top with a bust-flaunting appeal and high-waisted thong bottoms. The skimpy wear gave viewers plenty to admire, from the entertainer’s voluptuous curves to her toned midriff.
Kardashian completed the sexy look with her face fully glammed up while her dark tresses fell down her back in messy curls. “All that glitters is gold,” the mother of four captioned the thirst trap. As mentioned, her words appeared to be a witty reference to the lyrics of Smash Mouth’s hit 1999 song, “All Star.”
The rock band confirmed this theory by re-sharing the “American Horror Story: Delicate” star’s pictures on their Twitter page, alongside the next line to the 42-year-old’s highlighted lyrics. “Only shooting stars,” the group penned on their post.
For those unfamiliar with Smash Mouth the chorus of their famous track read: “Hey now, you’re an all star. Get your game on, go play. Hey now, you’re a rock star. Get the show on, get paid. And all that glitters is gold. Only shooting stars break the mold.”
Smash Mouth’s acknowledgment of Kardashian’s post appeared to be a tribute to their late leader.

Several Fans Slam The Glamour Award Winner For Seemingly Honoring The Late Artist With A Thirst Trap
Despite the band’s subtle approval of Kardashian’s unusual tribute, fans weren’t so pleased with her “shallow” way of honoring the late Harwell. Many called out the KKW Beauty founder for sharing an inappropriate image to honor Harwell’s passing.
“Someone dies, and you use their lyrics to post a thirst trap,” a fan slammed the media personality. “Your caption proves how shallow you are as a person,” another criticized the Los Angeles beauty.
“Kim, the Smash Mouth guy just died. Take this down,” a third implored the 42-year-old, while a fourth penned: “Kim, there’s people that are dying– literally.” Meanwhile, others debated the reality TV star’s intentions.
“Is this her tribute post to Steve Harwell?” someone wondered, with a fellow non-critic labeling the post the best way to honor the late musician. “The Steve Harwell (Smash Mouth) dedication post we have been waiting for,” the individual chimed.
A fellow fan of the rock band understood the intent behind Kardashian’s caption and commented: “RIP Smash Mouth” alongside a crying emoji.
The businesswoman’s post came shortly after Harwell’s death on September 4. The Santa Clara native died at 56, two years after he retired from music. The rock star dropped out of Smash Mouth following his diagnosis of neurological problems and a longtime battle with alcoholism.
The deceased’s manager, Robert Hayes, confirmed his passing in a statement shared by DailyMail. According to the late singer’s employee, Hartwell died “peacefully and comfortably.” He was surrounded by “friends and family,” including his fiancée Annette Jones, who had been caring for him at the time of his death.

The official cause of Harwell’s passing has not been revealed. However, Hayes stated the entertainer had been in the final stages of liver failure when he was moved to a hospice. The Smash Mouth ex-frontman passed away a day after his admission to health service was announced.
